• Jyotsna won the first prize in the Bharatanatyam solo category, at the Kenya Music & Dance Festival, conducted by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Kenya; 1995, 1997 and 1998.

• For Jaya TV’s “Thaka dhimi tha” a dance game show, she won the first prize in 2002 and 2004.

• In January 2002, Jyotsna was given the Rohini Krishnan Award by Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai.

• In 2006, Jyotsna was the recipient of the Tamil Nadu Government’s Eyal Isai Nataka Manram talent promotion scheme.

• In January 2007, Jyotsna received the prestigious Dr.M.G.R. Award for Best Danseuse at the Spirit of Youth Competition held by Music Academy, Chennai.
